Alright in this posting I am going to explore a new idea, one that kind of takes a huge leap in a new direction for me, religion.
The idea came to me during a series of thoughts and I really was just cycling thru thoughts in my head and tossed my hand in the air to grab this one and bring it in.
It takes a hard look into religion and how it affects those around us and I hope can put a new light in peoples eyes about the differences in realities and religions. It will make you see that tho your religion could very well be right, you have no right to deam other religions as insufficient or insuperior to your own.
Premise.
Imagine that you live your life trying to be the best man you can be, you make mistakes along the way but all in all you see yourself as a man who has done the best he can with the options given to him. You believe in your heart that you are a good person and that you will be given a chance to enter heaven.
I propose with this idea a look at religion where this very well could be a true theory, but at the same time in a different place or a different time there could be another person who believes in something completely different than your beliefs and he is also right.
The premise is that when you die, your last glimmer of a thought is taken into a place without time, your last breath of regret or your last stand of loyalty and faith in god is stretched out and made true in this final thought. The liar believes deep in his soul that he will never make it to heaven and so his mind grabs that belief and enflicts the punishment of his hell on his mind for all time. Where at the same time the child who dies with his mind full of wonder and hope that a true god awaits him and that he will be happy forever would die, simply to awake in a paradise given to him completely by his faith in that paradise alone.
This thought process seemed to appeal to me just beacuse it erased that hatred of religion on religion, it doesnt prove any religion wrong at all, it in fact proves each and every one of them to be right. Imagine a world where every religion is known to be true and that there is no need to grudge against any other religion beacuse you know that whatever any other person belives is also true. There would be no need for war or hate based on religion, that hate and anonymity is based on the idea that your religion is a sacrelige to my religion beacuse by yours being true it defines mine as false and vice versa, but if they were all true and you were left to choose for yourself what you wanted to believe in then what would you do, what would you choose to believe in?
