From here

As I posted before the book has begun!! With the beggining of the story comes all the research I have to do and descisions I have to make as to where the story might go. From where we left off I have been thinking that the next thing I need to do is explore the land of magic. The world is ruled by magic creatures who threaten to whipe the human presence on the world out. The humans that live on the planet have created a city built by magic that defends them always from the dragons and gryphins that are in constant attacks on the city's borders.

A few things that I need to explore in short story form that I will work on and post.

The city, whats it look like, whats its defenses, how is it governed? Whats it like in the everyday life of the people who live there.

Magic, I have a general idea of how I want magic to work based on things I have read in the past. What I want to do is not leave magic as a mysterious entity, just as I didnt want magic tobe in a different land and time I dont want magic to be out of reach to those who read the book. I want them to feel closer to this book than any they have read in the past, I need them to feel like the book isnt taking place so far away but that they might find this magic to be hiding around the next corner of their lives.

Hello! Good to see you put out what you have so far; you have some fertile ideas in there. I'm a bit surprised that you've chosen to write it in first-person too - that one's tough to pull off, but one of my favorite books of all time is written from that perspective so I wish you the best with it :) If you want to take a look at it as a reference, it may help you avoid some of the heavier editing that is usually required with first-person narrative - Mark Twain's "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn." Excellent book, that one is. There are a couple other examples too, I'm sure you'll find, just Googling.

What kinds of feedback are you looking for from people reading this? Under which post in this blog should we put our comments? It may be a good idea to make a specific spot on here *for* these comments - I see you have a Link List category on the left. Is it possible to do that? (I've not tinkered with the mechanics of this site much - just enough to get a color scheme on my own page - though I fancy the layout and am considering putting writings of my own on here.)

Arr!

Any input or just bull shiting with me is great, I love to just see things posted on the page really lol. I have done alot of research into the next parts of the series and just looking ahead at what I really WANT to write instead of what should I write. I will deffinately see what I can do about making the page or comment friendly too tho I dont know that they have what I would need to make that happen.
